This unique matcha bowl is entirely hand-shaped using the traditional pinch technique and features intricate motifs, each applied and refined entirely by hand.
Each chawan is carefully hand-formed allowing the organic shape to emerge. After shaping, the bowl is hand-glazed, creating subtle variations in tone and texture that make every piece one of a kind. The soft, earthy hues and tactile surface invite touch, turning every tea ritual into a sensory experience.

Although stoneware is strong, handmade ceramics benefit from gentle handling. Try to avoid sudden shocks, like putting a cold piece into a hot oven, or rinsing with cold water after heating.
Handmade stoneware is dishwasher safe, but handwashing is recommended to protect both glaze and form over time.
Avoid soaking unglazed bases in water for long periods.
The bases of most pieces are lightly sanded, but may still be rougher than factory-made ceramics. To protect delicate surfaces, place them on fabric, cork, or felt pads if needed.
Stack bowls and dishes with care, using a soft cloth in between if you store them tightly.
